If you’ve ever thought about quitting your business, this is for you.
The way where you open Seek “just to look”
The way where you tell yourself you’re being practical.
The way where you wonder, would it just be easier?
I had a conversation with another woman in business recently who admitted she’d been doing exactly that. Scrolling Seek. Looking at job listings. Imagining a steady paycheck, clear hours, less responsibility.
And I didn’t judge her.
Because I’ve done it too.
Over my 6 years coaching and 18 years in business, I’ve had many moments where I’ve considered throwing it all out the window and getting a job. Moments where client enquiries felt slow. Moments where I was tired. Moments where I questioned whether I was cut out for this.
But every single time I’ve gone onto Seek, something happens.
Perspective.
Because there is no job available to me that would give me what I have now, freedom + flexibility.
There’s no job listing that says:
And that’s when I realise something important.
Most of the time, I don’t actually want a job.
I just want my business to feel easier right now.
And those are two very different things.
When you’re in a low moment, your brain looks for relief.
A job can feel like relief:
But quitting your business and restructuring your business are not the same thing.
Here’s what I see time and time again with the women I work with:
They don’t want to give up their dream.
They want clarity.
They want structure.
They want their life + business to feel cohesive instead of chaotic.
They want to feel in control again.
When things feel messy, your nervous system screams “escape”
But often, what you actually need is alignment.
Before you make any big decisions, pause. Breathe. And walk yourself through this.
A slow month does not mean you’re bad at business.
A low-energy week does not mean you’re not cut out for this.
A wobble does not mean you’re a failure.
Every woman in business has them. The doubt. The spiral. The “maybe I should just quit” moment.
That’s not proof you’re incapable. It’s proof you’re human.
Is it money?
Is it consistency?
Is it time?
Is it lack of structure?
Is it comparison?
Is it decision fatigue?
Be specific.
“I want to quit” is vague.
“My business feels hard because I have no clear plan and I’m reacting to everything” is solvable.
When you name the real problem, you give yourself power back.
Why did you start this in the first place?
For me, it wasn’t designer handbags or luxury cars.
It was:
Your why is your north star.
When things feel wobbly, don’t make decisions from panic. Make them from purpose.
This part is important.
Wanting relief doesn’t mean you’re not built for business.
It means you’re tired.
It means something needs adjusting.
It means you’re craving ease.
And that’s not weakness. That’s wisdom.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do isn’t quitting.
It’s refining.
It’s simplifying.
It’s asking for support.
It’s rebuilding your week so your life + business actually coexist.
If you’ve found yourself on Seek lately, questioning everything, don’t shame yourself.
But don’t rush either.
Pause.
Ask yourself:
Do I truly want a job?
Or do I want my business to feel clearer, calmer and more aligned?
Then come back to your why. The reason you started. The life you wanted your business to support. The version of you who believed this was possible.
Let that be your north star.
And then, Keep going.
