Building a lifestyle business that works for me as a Mum

One of the biggest joys of building my own business is the ability to create a lifestyle that aligns with my values, priorities and most importantly, my role as a Mum.

From the very beginning, I knew I didn’t want to be trapped in a 9-5 grind or feel torn between my business goals and my family’s needs. Instead, I set out to build a lifestyle business – one that offers me the freedom and flexibility to show up for my children, while still creating impact and income.

Designing my business to fit my life as a Mum

Through careful planning, I’ve intentionally structured my business so it complements my family life. With two full-time school aged children, my business hours are built around their school schedules.

I’ve implemented systems, automations, and strategies that enable me to work smarter, not harder. This approach means I can achieve meaningful results without the need for long hours. Whether it’s a seamless content calendar or automating my client onboarding process, every tool I use serves one purpose: to give me back my time.

This intentional structure has been key to sustaining my business across all seasons of motherhood. From sleepless nights with newborns to navigating preschool drop-offs and now school-aged routines, my business has evolved with me.

Prioritising family time

As much as I love my work, my top priority has always been my family. With the school holidays approaching, I always make the decision to step away from my business and fully enjoy the time with my family.
