It’s been over 4 years since I walked out of my hospital government job for the very last time and stepped fully into the freedom of running my business on my terms.
At the time, I was a Mum juggling work, business and life. I’d spent years building my coaching biz part-time, often squeezing it into nap times, late nights and in between moments. I knew deep down that the dream I was building could become something more, I just needed to give it the space to grow.
Leaving the security of my government job was big.
But so was the pull toward a lifestyle where I could be more present with my kids, have time freedom and create something that lit me up from the inside out.
Fast forward to now and I’ve built exactly that.
My business allows me to do school pickups. To take Fridays off just for me. To go on spontaneous walks, take client calls from the couch in my comfies, and design a Life Aligned Business™ that supports my version of success.
I’ve created the kind of flexibility and alignment I used to dream about and I’m deeply grateful for it every single day.
But as much as I adore my online business (and the incredible women I get to coach and connect with), I’ve been feeling the nudge for something more.
Not more in the “add it to the to do list” kind of way but more depth.
More in person connection. More community. More contribution, right here in my local world.
I’d been keeping my heart open for a way to give back that felt aligned.
A way to use my time and experience to support other women, offline, in real rooms with real conversations.
But nothing quite landed.
Until this.
I’m so excited to share that I’ve officially joined the Ignite Women Tasmania committee as their new Events Coordinator!
When this opportunity came up, it was an instant yes.
The kind of yes that doesn’t come from overthinking but from knowing.
If you haven’t heard of Ignite yet, let me tell you, it’s something truly special.
Ignite is a Tasmanian based women’s network centred around connection, empowerment and inclusivity. It’s a space where women from all backgrounds can come together, share their stories, support one another, and build lasting relationships.
They’re all about creating meaningful, wellness focused events that go beyond surface level networking. These aren’t your typical awkward-business-card-swap type events. They’re intentional. Nourishing. Real. And rooted in community.
And that’s what drew me in.
Because connection is at the heart of everything I do in my life, in my business, and now, in this new role.
For someone who’s been working entirely online for the past few years, it feels so good to be stepping into something that’s grounded in my local community.
To be using my time and skills to create something meaningful offline, while still running the business I love.
I know firsthand how isolating business can feel sometimes. Especially as a woman. Especially when you’re trying to “do it all” and still stay aligned to what matters most.
And I know how powerful it is to have a space where you feel seen, supported and inspired, not just behind a screen, but in the room.
That’s what Ignite offers.
And I’m so honoured to now be part of bringing that vision to life through the events we create.
As Events Coordinator, I’ll be helping curate gatherings that aren’t just beautiful but impactful.
Spaces where women can come as they are, connect deeply, and leave feeling filled up and fired up.
Whether you’re in business, motherhood, a career, a season of change, or all of the above, this is a space for you.
If you’re a Tassie woman craving community, connection, and aligned spaces to grow, I’d love for you to come be part of what we’re creating.
And if you’re in a season like I was wanting to give back, to connect more deeply, to create beyond the screen, maybe this is your sign to say yes to the thing that’s been calling you, too.
Because when women come together, truly amazing things happen.
